Ste. Anne · 25 minutes
A hall near Ste. Anne that hands you the kitchen
Twenty-five minutes south, down Highway 12. There is no in-house caterer here and no approved list — which matters most to the people who have always done their own cooking.
Bristol is about twenty-five minutes south of Ste. Anne, and the most useful thing we can tell you about it is that the kitchen is not ours to guard. No in-house catering, no approved caterer list, no kitchen fee and no food and beverage minimum, because we do not sell food or drink at all.
For anybody who caters their own events, that is the difference between a hall you can use and a hall you can only rent. Two fridges, a commercial dishwasher, a stove, a microwave, a coffee maker and a serving thermos — with dishes and cutlery for the full two hundred already in the building, so a supper for 180 does not begin with a china rental order.
The dishwasher is the part people underestimate until they are standing at the sink at eleven at night. A two-minute wash and rinse is the difference between the clearing up finishing and the clearing up outlasting the party. And if you would rather not do any of it, the cleaning add-on is $250 and covers the floors, the kitchen, the washrooms and the bins the morning after.

The drive
Getting here from Ste. Anne
Highway 12 south
Out of Ste. Anne and straight south. Highway 12 runs the twenty-five kilometres down to Steinbach, and that is most of the drive done.
Carry on past the town
You are aiming for the road below Steinbach rather than into the town itself.
West on to Road 32 East
The hall is on the north side, set back off the road, with the parking lot in front. 31085 Rd 32 East.
About twenty-five minutes. If you already drive to Steinbach for anything, this is that same trip plus the last ten minutes — which is also the answer to how far your caterer, your cousins and your dish crew have to come.

Two fridges, a commercial dishwasher, a stove and a microwave. Nobody is standing in the doorway of it.
The kitchen
What “bring your own caterer” actually means here
Nobody is in your way
No in-house chef, no approved list, no kitchen fee, no minimum spend. Your own people, a caterer you hired, or Anna's All Occasions, who has cooked in this kitchen many times and knows where everything lives.
The dishes are already here
Dishes and cutlery for the full room are in the rental rather than extra, and the washing up goes through a commercial machine on a two-minute cycle. Putting them on the tables is the part that is yours: we hand over the building, the tables and the chairs, and we do not set rooms.
The day is long enough to set it
A supper for 180 is not set in an hour, which is why the rental starts at seven in the morning and runs to midnight rather than selling you a block in the middle of it. If you want the room the night before as well, book that day too — there is no setup service to buy.
Published, not quoted
The room, and the parts you can hand over
CAD, before 5% GST. The first list is the only compulsory one; the second is the coffee, which on a long supper somebody has to keep going all evening.
Hall rental
Weekday, Monday to Thursday
The whole building, 7 AM to midnight, for five hundred dollars. Seminars, fowl suppers, showers, funeral lunches, reunions and AGMs all book this one.
$500
Friday or Sunday
The same hall and the same hours as a Saturday, two hundred and fifty dollars less. Sunday afternoons get the west light off the field.
$1,000
Saturday
7 AM to midnight on the busiest day of the week. Room for 200, with 180 sitting down comfortably for a plated supper.
$1,250
Per guest, if the urns are nobody's job
Coffee & Tea Service
Urn coffee, tea, cream and sugar topped up from your first guest to your last, with a thermos left on each table. Around here the coffee runs out before the food does.
$2.75/ guest
Late-Night Coffee & Squares
A fresh coffee run and a tray of squares put out around ten for the crowd who stay to the end. There is no point holding the building to 1 AM with an empty urn.
$4.50/ guest
Charged on the headcount you confirm the week before, not on the number you invited.
A worked example
A supper for 180, cooked by your own people
A weekday, your crew in the kitchen from seven in the morning, and the cleanup handed to us the morning after.
| Weekday full day — 7 AM to midnight | $500 |
|---|---|
| After-Event Cleaning | $250 |
| Subtotal | $750 |
| GST 5% | $37.50 |
| Total | $787.50 |
No per-guest lines at all, because the dishes and cutlery for 180 are already in the building and your own people are running the kitchen. That works out at about $4.38 a head for the room, with the floors, the kitchen, the washrooms and the bins done the morning after. Setting the tables and whatever goes on them is yours — we do not set rooms, decorate, or rent decor.

Questions
Can our own people cook here, or do we have to hire a caterer?
Your own people, if that is how you do it. There is no in-house caterer to displace, no approved list to choose from and no kitchen fee. We walk whoever is cooking through the kitchen the week before, so nobody is hunting for the coffee urns on the day.
Do you have enough dishes for a supper for two hundred?
Yes. Dishes and cutlery for the full room are inside the hall rental, not rented on top of it. The part people underestimate is the washing up, and it is the reason the dishwasher matters: it is a commercial machine running a two-minute wash and rinse, so 180 place settings are a job that finishes the same night instead of one that outlasts the event.
Do you speak French?
No. Everything we write is in English — the quote, the invoice, the terms — and Helmut answers the phone in English. That is worth knowing before you pass our quote round a committee, and we would rather put it on the page than let you find out on a call.
Is there a minimum spend, or a charge for using the kitchen?
Neither. The kitchen is inside the hall rental. There is no food and beverage minimum because we do not sell food or beverages at all. You pay for the day, whichever add-ons you chose, and 5% GST on the total.
How late can a supper and programme run, and when can we start setting up?
The rental runs from 7 AM to midnight — the whole of it, not a block inside somebody else's day — and another $200 holds the building to 1 AM. Starting at seven is what makes setting up on the day realistic for a supper of any size. There is no setup service to buy, because we do not set rooms; if you want the room the night before as well, book that day as its own rental.
Tell us the date and who is cooking.
The quote builder prices the room and whichever parts you want handed over, adds the GST, and sends it to you itemised.
